the only thing i know is that one day i’ll get it
there is a specific and unmatched assurance in the sense of disappointment i get every time i have been led to believe that something will be or progress a certain way. i have never felt that assurance in anything else. this is why when i care i am surprised and this is why i don’t feel like i have to care about anybody
